I finally received the last of the squares in today's mail. Here is a photo of all the squares in the correct order that they will be assembled. I just love the riot of colour and randomness of the intarsia squares. And then there is also one square that is crocheted, which adds another dimension altogether. Stunning.
The assembly of the squares is slow-going, but I am now working on the 4th row (there are 8 altogether), and by this evening should have it attached, which means I'll be half way there. Here are some additional photos as well showing the first 2 rows. I'll have to redo the castoff edge of the 1st and 2nd rows as the edge is buckling. I fixed this in the following rows by reducing the number of stitches in the last row of garter stitch prior to the castoff.
